Proverbs 29:18 (NKJV) – Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Prepare Your Heart and Head

 Approach parenting and grand-parenting thinking about what you will contribute.

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) – Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

 Understand God trusted your child to you.
Romans 13:4 – For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good…  Get the heart of your child.

Malachi 4:6 – He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”

 There are stages of obedience: obedience, ownership and submission.

Ephesians 6:1 – Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  There are times to be angry.

Ephesians 4:26 – “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

James 1:19 – My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

 There are attitudes your kids will learn by your example.
