Sunday Nov 2, 2014 -Ask yourself, “Is there something negative in my family that I allow to affect me?” “Where am I not living biblically?” Accept responsibility for allowing this influence in your life.
There are people out there that claim that they love Jesus but they live however they want and act the way they want to act. Jesus says the world can not accept the spirit of truth. Don’t show me your faith just by your words, show me your faith by your obediance. Jesus says if you love me then do what I say. – Dwayne Terry
Open Doors, Part 06
Genesis 4:7 – If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
Open doors are what allow sins and wrong attitudes to remain in our lives.
Deuteronomy 5:8-10 – “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Galatians 3:13 – Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”
Leviticus 20:6 – ‘And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

Responding To Family Patterns
Ask yourself, “Is there something negative in my family that I allow to affect me?” “Where am I not living biblically?”
Accept responsibility for allowing this influence in your life.
Romans 6:12 – Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you
obey its evil desires.
Believe that Jesus has already freed you from this and focus on His sacrifice in prayer.
Romans 8:1-2 – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Focus on how Christ wants you to live.
John 14:15-17 – “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever– 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
