Luke 23:46 – Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Paratithēmi, [pä-rä-tē’-thā-mē] – commit, to give yourself to someone else for protection or safety, to deposit, to commit to one’s charge

What Comes Naturally When Everything is at Stake

 Worry.

What causes you to worry?

 Take things into our own hands.

Matthew 26:53 – Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

  •   Doubt.

How We Grow In Trust

  •   Go ahead and die.Galatians 2:20 – I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

 Make up your mind now.

Luke 21:14 – But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.

 Bring your concern to God.
1 Peter 5:7 – Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for

you.

The Result

  •   You live in God’s Presence.
