Hebrews 12:15 – 15See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
James 3:14-16 – But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

Letting Go of Envy
• Celebrate God’s goodness to others.
Romans 12:15 – Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who

• Embrace God’s goodness to you.
Ecclesiastes 6:9 – Better what the eye sees than the roving of the
appetite. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT) – Always be joyful. Keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
