Growing in Christ, Part 03

John 10:10 – …I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) – “We love Him because He first loved us”

1 John 4:10 – This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

• Focus on His love for us.
1 John 4:19 – We love because he first loved us.

2 Corinthians 5:14 – For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

Psalms 27:4 – One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

• Stay away from sin.

Hebrews 11:25 – He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.

• Focus on loving others.

Matthew 22:37-39 – Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

• Make your life goal intimacy with God.
