Sunday April 6, 2014 – Christians are to take the gift of love that God gives us graciously, and in return love others the same. If we aren’t experiencing God’s love for us, then we aren’t seeking God consistently.

Love is not what God does, love is who God is.
1 John 4:8 – Whoever does not love does not know God, because God
Why It Is Hard For Us To Experience God’s Love 1. We are not seeking Him consistently.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
2. We don’t love like God loves.
John 4:10-11 – This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
If we are going to live like Jesus lived, we must love like Jesus loved. 3. We feel unworthy.
Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Isaiah 55:8 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
Isaiah 64:8 – Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
